Exclamation

Dont know what happened to the original, I bought the car when it was 4 mths old in the condition it's in now, I'll try to decribe what option/extra's it has, Herods stainless exhaust system & extractors, "Unichip" microchip, premium sound, ungraded brakes, full body kit, red/black leather combination on gear knob & steering wheel, also dyno tuned and total respray 2 months ago.

I had my car resprayed 2 months ago and in the process decide to try to find the same sought of mesh that is in the rear grill on my AUIII, found it, but unfortunately I had to buy a square metre of it, so have a lot left over, it was'nt cheap to buy this stuff and I think it looks quite good on the car, sought of makes it more uniform, so thought I might as well try to flog off the remainder, did'nt actually come on here to sell stuff, but when I seen how many AUII & AUIII's owners there were on here, I thought they might like to know that it's available!!!! Sorry if I offended anyone!!!

It's fine, there are afew of us that are bitter and twisted but you'll get used to it.

Put a post up in the For Sale section for that mesh, just make sure you have a price and a pic.

Dont know if anyone knows yet, but the AUII- AUIII tickford xr-8 engine cover have been made obsolete, I had one on back order for 8 mths and got a phone call from ford last week to let me know "no go" which bring me to my question, I found a new engine cover, only problem is it's for a TE-50, so no "220" badge (which I already have) and no XR-8 printed on the top, does anyone know where I can get that sought of printing done

Any good signwriter/sticker place can do that.

I used to know of one in Altona North but for the life of me I can't remember their name.

Well for what it's worth you only got the plate if you had extra mods done by Tickford body kit,sunroof, Momo stuff ext. I brought mine new and it only has the Momo stuff on it as the body kit was fitted by the dealership :

Smile Tickford ID Plate

I just need to clarify things. My AUII (late 2001 update model) XR6 HP was delivered new to its first without any factory fitted options whatsoever. Therefore dead basic spec. Since I have owned it, I have fitted a few of the factory options.

I do not have a Tickford ID plate fitted to my car.

Is this because NO FACTORY FITTED TICKFORD OPTIONS were fitted to the car prior to its delivery to its very first owner ?

And one final thing;

Where in the engine bay is the Tickford ID plate fitted ?

Liquid Silver

It will only have an ID plate if options were fitted at the factory, models with no factory options dont have a plate.
The plate i located near the front RHS top shock mount
