Default No spark - 85 Telstar Ghia

G'day all

Tried search but no answer.

My father has an 85 ghia. Has no spark at the spark plug.

Does this model have electronic ignition or points? What are the usual culprits for 'no spark'?

Any advice is appreciated.

regards
mark

Default no spark

electronic module in the dissy of your car as far as my information goes
so do the basic
check coil
leads and plugs and cap for cracks etc

then you need a muti meter to test the module itself and current from the ignition any fuses have a look there as well ?

that might be a ford genuine part as well but no to sure
other stuff is in my post about the telstar below

My 85 TX5 Ghia refused to start a few months after I got it. I had both the Distributor Moduel and the Ignition Coil replaced, and no problem at all since then (they were both Bosch parts).

Default parts

luckily mazda 626 and the telstar were the same car with different badges
for this model
sometimes parts from a ford are cheaper dont ask me why ?

so parts are not so hard to find north or southside
