I just noticed that there is no PIN code for the stereo/radio in case the battery got disconnected. I remember in my other car, it is written on a business card and attached to my glove compartment.
If you have one of the late model focus, can you tell me where to find the PIN code for the audio system please. |

We didn't get a pin code. I didn't know they still use them. Does the Sony Audio System actually use one?

All our other 3 cars have PIN codes you need to enter if battery died or was disconnected. Supposed to be a theft deterrent I think.

Okay now I understand. Our other cars are magna, civic and yaris and they all have pin codes. I agree they are a bad idea and the audio system nowadays are very difficult to get to because they are often integrated into the dash.

LV Focus has/had them for a Sony unit. I know because it prompted me for one when I disconnected the battery. The dealer had no record of it and hadn't given it to me at the time of sale, which meant leaving the car with them for an afternoon while they pulled out the stereo to get its serial number...

Picked up my new LW focus yesterday and was told there is no audio PIN in the new focus.

LV has them in the normal stereo as well, I had to call the dealer to get it, doesn't cost anything.

Hi
Just purchased my first ford,,,,a focus and no radio code  After much frustration I have managed to get serial code of the stereo M523269 and now what do I do? Please help can't drive anywhere without sounds. |

You don't need a pin number with the LW/Ranger/Fiesta etc.
