Hehe!!! I like those, very well done. Yes I have a bias in action too but whats it matter.

Conflicting emotions for me in the second ad though, a potentially sweet S15.. *sniff*

I wonder if they'll do any great ads for the new R32 (Golf that is, for the great masses of uneducated).

Nice. I love them. That's advertising with balls, it's funny, it's deliberately targeted and it looks GODDAMN HOT in white!!!!!

I can see the XR5 Turbo now.... Show some hip 35 year old in a suit and tie standing next to his Golf GTi, a real German engineer walks up to him and say in GERMAN, "Do you want to un-pimp your ride"?... the GTi driver can't understand, so the GTi gets pwned by a cement block and the XR5T appears behind it, the following slogan appears...

Ford Focus XR5 Turbo. The true German hot hatch.

Or they could take the Aussie approach... show a super hot German girl getting off a Lufthansa plane (or whoever) at the airport, speaking German. Then she gets abducted by Ford engineers and bundled into the back of a black GT-P. You then next see her sitting at a footy match with the engineers and smiling, eating a meat pie. She then swears off at the umpire in a thick German accent but in english...

Ford Focus XR5 Turbo. The best of Germany, with an Aussie attitude...

No just late night creativity. Came up with that on the fly.

I'd break every rule in the advertising standards rule book given the chance probably!

Political incorrectness by smiling behind the wheel, having a child in the passenger seat while doing more than 5km/h on a 5-lane superhighway and teaching them that cars are evil, indoctrinating children to think that cars are fun... crikey, Just starting the engine these days gets you banished to Guantanamo Bay for eternity, remember poor Holden's Commodore ad with the kid in the back? Such criminal acts those gearchanges.

I thought the first one said "Make friends with your fist", thought that would be more appropiate for the second one with the girlfriend. LOL

I love the look of the GTi. The black that comes down into the bumper makes it look hella aggressive to me.

My VW's a little older than that... but it's been repainted 'Blueprint' with Falcon 12 slotters, does that count ?
