Is anyone going? Anyone been?

We have done our annual 'pilgrimage' to Sydney two years in a row to see the shows as a bit of a boys weekend.

So keen to see how the show is and what people think compared to last years show.

Plus, I won't go on how jipped we feel about losing our annual boys trip this year !!!

Yep, went today. It was quite good though very obviously scripted including all the stunts.
It is definitely worth seeing at least once.

Yeah I went at 2pm today. My 3yo Son loved it as did I. I don't think my son realized people on TV actually exist judging by the look on his face when Clarkson and May first came out. I enjoyed the digs at the old Stig and the Carbon Tax.

Thought it was pretty good.
Sure its scripted, but still gets a good laugh and enjoyable.

(Crowd was full of Holden lovers though,)

I went to the 5pm show..It was brilliant.!!! Jeremy was in fine form!!! Had a go at our speed cameras!! When you see the FPV and the HSV front on,the FPV looks very plain. As at TG Live, FPV need to change the front so its not so Falcon, like.
Great show, thoroughly enjoyed it.!!!

I cann't see how it was scripted..the banter between Kenny, Jeremy and James was them firing off one another. BUT who really cares ? it was a very entertaining 90mins. The Fiesta cars were great as the security cars when STIG stole the protype army car!!!
Be going in 2012 if they come to Brisbane again.

Just got back from the late show. Was pretty good but was hoping for a lot more. Good to see the show kick off with a white F6 Ute along with a Maloo. Easily twice as many red fans in the audience though. I think the arena was to small for the stunt driving as it was pretty tame and I enjoyed the banter between the hosts far more. I was real happy to see just how many exotic cars they rounded up. Overall good entrainment as its not an everyday thing but the filling between banter was a bit crap. Jeremy's boobie cam was awesome though.

Went to Sydney
Last year, I didn't enjoy the live show even though I'm a huge TG/clarkson fan.

I got a few pictures although the missus camera is pretty crap.

Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clarksons had the Holden and May was in the Ford, whites awesome but should have been blue. Shane eventually came out in a Quattroporte.

Ford really missed another trick with these fellas here. Holden had them straight in the Team Vodafone V8s and HSVs for a track outing which they talked up at the beginning of the show. Then had a Red Maloo for the red team. Out back with the paddock pass the Holden was parked in amongst the Supercars right next to the rope (no touching the cars), and the F6 was parked out the way in the distance with some cars that wernt even in the show.

From left to Right Bentley Cntinental GT, Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche 911 GT3 (maybe RS), SS Ute, XR8 Ute, Aston Martin DBS, Ferrari 485 Itailia, Maserati Convertable GT (i think, 2dr convertible)

Porsche (think they were mock ups)

Same but on fire some more

I was there last year as well, found it a bit boring, the banter between presenters seemed a bit tired, I guess that was to be expected with the number of shows each day. The car displays were pretty average too.

Anyone know why Hammond doesnt come out for the live shows? Or is he too busy getting his teeth whitened.

I went and loved it. I don't get why people complain about the fact that it was scripted; so are all the TV shows. There was a great atmosphere, and the car football was easily the best bit. May's washing machine car was ******* hilarious too.

Anyway here's a shot of Clarkson and May with the utes. I was a bit far away though.

As I said in my post..FPV really need to do something about the front of the FPV cars..The HSV looks waaaay better, than the FPV Ute..It needs to be unFalconised!!!!!!!

I think that comparison show how serious HSV and FPV take the performance ute scene compared to one another.

Be going in 2012 if they come to Brisbane again.
Which show did you go to?

In the 2PM saturday:

Clarkson did not know what a servo was.
Kenny did poo jokes and drove a poojo
Clarkson told a story about a diarrhoea attack and Kenny called it a "poonami"
Kenny talked about the ultimate australian need to have a car that you can stack slabs of beer in.
Speed camera and carbon tax jokes.
Constant Cricket jokes.
May did an own goal.
When kenny was asked about which car he kept saying ute but not which one until he was pressured by clarkson and "accidentally" said "Hold......" and then tried to cover it up.
Kenny asked for a round of applause for supporters the ford ute and then said "Good to see all 3 of you turned up"

Now does any of this ad libbing sound just a little bit familiar......

I was at the 11am show today. All of the above was on the script. I thought the banter was fine though. It is what it is and I wasn't expecting academy award winning actors.

I cheered for the Ford ute and felt like I was the only one in my part of the audience that did. I didn't realise Holden was THAT much more popular.

We went Friday night.. had a good time but ill agree with what everyone else has said here, the F6 ute looked like a POS compared to the HSV, the Holden fans were about 10 to 1 in comparison to Ford fans when they asked which one they liked.

F6 would have looked 300 times better with a hardcover / sports bar in a decent colour like Nitro, and ofcourse some FPV personalised plates..

The script was as above, but no doubt all their shows are scripted too!
