Default Changes to layout

Good evening

Some of you may notice some slight changes to the colour scheme. These have been introduced to provide more focus on the navigation bar links for the top menu (User CP/Gallery/Technical Resources etc) as well as the user tools so that they are easily identifiable.

Cheers
Russ

Default new look?

has the menu (user cp, gallery, members list etc) recently changed colour from white to yellow?
if it has let me say I think it looks much better this way. if it has always been that way...well I don't know

It isn't temporary although we may look at reducing the font a little. The idea is to highlight those areas that new users have experienced difficulty in finding. Being the recipient of the support email on the topic I can say that the inability to find those things generates about 65% of support requests.

Cheers

I believe it was done in order to make people aware of it's existance. There's been a lot of questions asked, that could simply have been answered if people knew that the index bars exists.

Not trying to be annoying, but the color scheme is a bit off. Blue and white looks good, just as you can see on almost every other button / sponsor / ford logo on the site. The yellow looks wierd.

i think im going blind

if it helps why not use pics instead of bright yellow for the menu
like number plate for the background
or something relevent to title

also if it helps you could just tell people with an impairment to use the ctrl + + or - or ctrl + mouse scroll up or down

also to counter the other changes a colour which carries from the ff logo would be better - my opinion

size shouldnt be a prob since theres alot of photoshopers here and loading time could be reduced if those sponser logos where put say into a scrolling banner up top (save space on page)

The font has been reduced slightly to bring it more into line with the others used.

I have had flashes of red a couple of times and knew it wasn't me, cos I haven't had anything to drink (as yet)...
But thought my monitor was dying :

Like any changes people, give it a chance and you will find you will be used to it in no time and actually liking it..

I don't see the big deal to be honest.. if it makes things easier for new members to find things then its a good thing..

Well done :Reverend:

Oh good. I started ringing round my friends to see if it was just me. The smaller font looks better. Stands out a lot easier now.

When the layout colours were changing i wasn't sure if my screen was on the way out or i was dreaming, the new colours make it easier to move around and find particular sections. I'm sure we will all get use to the new look layout of FF.
