Default Newcastle specialists , where art thou?

Just a quick question, where does everybody go to modify their cars? I'm looking for recommendations as i'm in the mood to start modifying mine. Trouble is everything seems to happen south of the border.

Anyone recommend any places for exhausts and tuning etc etc in the Newcastle / Central Coast area.

In particular im looking at getting some extractors fitted as soon as I can find somewhere to do it. Cheers . . . .
Damien

No idea mate.

We took dads car to Bluepower for Chris to work on (well worth the drive). Spiro at Autotech in Sydney is also recommended.

Default AU flash box

Hi, I may have given some false info about the flash boxes, the current version doesn't work with the AU but the yet to be realeased XCalibrator2 aparently does work with them. All the BA-BF series are covered by the current box.

I got john at Erina Ultratune to do my chip and dyno work an can safely say he has gone above and beyond the call of duty when it came to my ts50. I travel 4 hours to see him for all my work. Very experienced man and is very honest. There is more work to be done on the Ts50 and he has my vote. Cheers :

Yep, I used to use Danny as well, but I thought he left years ago. I remember in 2000 he was running the Exhaust place in the Mobil down the road from it before it shut down. Did he go back to hi tec?

Guys i just wanted to thankyou for recomending Danny at TORONTO EXHAUST CENTRE, I just got a twin 2.5 mild steel catback XFORCE system fitted for $550 and highly recomend him to anyone. I drove from maitland down there to get mine done after getting a price he was by far the cheapest
He even come in on his holidays for me to fit it up.
We had a small drama with it hitting where it goes over the diff so he gave xforce a call to let them know but danny fixed it up for me no questions asked. He was very thorough and fussy in his work and would recomend him to anyone in this area.
Now just getting used to the rumble of the boss, she finally sounds like a v8 at idle now.

I called Danny during his break and was very helpful to me in regards to different types of headers. He even gave me a few pointers here and there when the time comes for me to fit some on and this is something that you do not expect from a tradey with their secrets. BTW Marto, did you get a price for the stainless setup too?

nah didnt bother getting the stainless price as i didnt have a lot of cash to throw around and thought it would be out of my range.
Spoke to danny and he didnt really see any great need unless i lived near the ocean or was showing it, and neither of these applied, also when ever it gets driven its usually for more than half an hour so she pretty warm by then.

Where abouts in maitland is your mate and what is the name of his shop. Also is he a good mechanic and is he specialising in the b series fords or all makes and models. AS i am after a good mechanic in this area as i am sick of being ripped off by dealers and being treated like ****.

Thumbs up

hey there fellas.
bit of a plug. My name's beau, i own an exhaust shop in newy called Moore Mufflers.
I used to work for pete at newy mufflers & know danny. both are good blokes.
Of course i will give the best prices possible as my overheads are shorter (i work on my own) than most.

Not too sure who you can see for edits & stuff.
I can obtain lower springs & stuff including wheels if you want.
I will build extractors & custom fab exhausts if need be or suppy or if bolt-on systems. Of course free advice without prejudice to brand etc....
address & number as follows;
8 newton st broadmeadow (behind frasers motorcycles) 0249522009. I also specialise in bike exhausts. I do noise tests also.
please dont hesitate to drop me a line

Hi Beau!

It's Dave's mate Phil with the Yellow SV650.

For those who want some good work i can testify that Pete and Dave at Newcastle Mufflers 0249487677 and Beau at Moore Mufflers 0249522009 both do great work and very reasonable prices.

Pete fitted extractors and a custom exhaust to my old VK Commodore and have since fitted my Pacies and mandrel exhaust on my VCT XR6.

Beau did a full custom exhaust including muffler manufacture for a ZZR i used to have whilst working at NM.

Phil

Hi l have a work shop in maitland. My goal is to become a dedicated falcon performance shop i can supply and fit u with just about any parts for your late model falcon v8's 6 turbo's and n/a6.i will have a few b series cars i have enhanced on display at rickshaw show in newcastle on the 18th of march one of which is a supercharged, intercooled ba 6 ute which made 254rwkw on standard injectors and 13psi of boost. I hope to break 300+ with more fuel and boost. Feel free to call me any time on 0437 327204 or 49326781 i will be more than happy to assist u in any way i can. Your buisness would be greatly appreciated as the more of this sort of work i get will help me reach my goal of having an all ford dyno tune in the newcastle/maitland area which we do not yet have.

Just a quick plug for Ray Prescott Automotive in Cessnock. They have been doing work on my BF GT & so far they have done a Difillipo exhaust, Blue Power CAI & lowered Pedders suspension. They don't have a dyno yet but are in the proccess of expanding & from what I understand, will include a Dyno setup. They can provide you with a CAPA flash tuner ATM & they can organise a dyno tune through Spiro at Autotech in Granville untill they have their own Dyno up & running.

There workmanship is 2nd to none & I can't recomend them high enough after the work they have done on my GT. You can contact Ray or Josh (Forum member with Blown Pursuit) at Ray Prescott Automotive 02 49902488..

Cheers Rob..
