Default LS Focus Central Locking Issues

Guys,

My LS Focus Zetec has had an intermittent issue with is Central Locking of late...When im driving a long...it will lock itself...unlock...lock...just do it randomly. Even scarier? Unlocking itself when i've locked it....I'm actually staying around to make sure it locks before I walk off...I minor issue? Yes....serious potential ramifications....HELL YES...

Has anyone else had it happen to their LS?

Sounds similar to the central locking probs of the E-series falcon. Do all the lock switches inside the car work freely.

Yep, i had the exact same problem mate. Car would lock and unlock like crazy non stop. Some days it would do it, some days it wouldnt. Was warming my car up in the morning once, went back in the house, got ready for work, came out and my car was locked. Had to get the spare to open it again. Anyway took it to ford and they changed some motor or wateva. problem fixed.
