Default 2008 Ford Calendar submissions

Ladies and Gentlemen,
i have received this email (actually its one of a few but this has the end result), thought some of you would be interested:

Quote:
Thank you very much for your response. Yes, I would definitely love to get a selection of high res images for calendar publication. I will attach our 2008 submission guidelines, however I can outline the submission requirements here.

We ask for one-time, worldwide, non-exclusive publication rights. The payment per image in a square wall calendar is $240/image and additional $100/cover. Our payment is made beginning March in the year the calendar is published. If this is a problem, I can see if I can arrange for payment on December 31, 2007. We will supply 3 copies of the calendar at no charge to the contributing photographers. Calendars are also available for purchase by contributors at a 60% discount off retail. Our current print run is about 4000. If you foresee a need for a large quantity of the calendars for club members, please let us know so that we can adjust our print run.

As far as editing the calendar, we would like to feature a variety of models and years. Are you able to send me a selection of at least 20 cars to edit or should I go to the website and select? We will need each car identified with model and year. We will credit the photographer/owner and can also credit AUFalcon.com in the calendar. Just let me know how you would like your organization cited and we will do our best to follow your instruction.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed. I appreciate your help and am looking forward to working together on the calendar.

Regards,
Julie
This is a large US based company that does most of the dog and specialty calendars you see at all the shopping centers.

Anyone interested please send me your hi res pic of choice (1 only, must be hi res) to casper1612@optusnet.com.au. It is also critical that you read the digital image submission rules as these must be followed for your image to qualify.
I have arranged to send all all images via email however they need to be clearly marked and numbered so that is someones image is selected payment can be forwarded on to the winning photographer (I'm not getting a cut : ).

Anyhow, the submission guidelines can be found here: http://members.optusnet.com.au/karl2105/

We only have a week and a bit so all submissions need to be in by March 20th at the latest.

Oh, and anyone who wants to put in a pic of a non AU, please feel free however I wont be co-ordinating that, you'll have to do it the "official" way. AU's only please.

Sweet, I pick my car up tomorrow night, so I'm predicting my camera will be getting a workout this weekend.

If I get any decent shots that meet the guidelines, I'll shoot one through to you. Would be fantastic to see my own car on a calendar!

I would love a copy of the finished calendar, so keep us posted with purchase details once its done.

Remember guys, this is an international Ford Calendar, there is no guarantees that any of our pics will be in it. Its just something that I thought was worth a shot to see if we could get an AU in there.

in that case. lets get one done exclusively for aufalcon.com!!! yeah, i know the costs would be big, and the calanders rediculusly overpriced, but it would be worth it for us to see our cars on it!!!!

With over 300 active members can you tell me how we can choose just 12 cars? Or even 24 cars? Everyone wants to be in it and its just not feasible, all been gone though before unfortunately.

meh work has a Color Laser Printer and a Color Photocopier , Thankyou HARRIS SCARFE ...

Serious , if you wanted one , i could Conjour Something up , but like casper said , theres too many hotties to choose from .. Maybe if you have groups of them , like here is how i would set it up ...
  • Decemeber 07 - Possibly a Group Photo from FPV Day with that one the Guy took from Ford Magazine (Or Something like that)
  • January 08 - Collaboration of XR8's from all Series
  • Feburary - Collaboration of XR6's from all Series
  • March - Fairmonts
  • April - Drag Day Photos
  • May - Stock AU's (Like , No Xr's or TEs
  • June - TE's
  • July - Bodykitted AU's
  • August - Engine Shots ...
  • September - Someones Car on the Skid Pan
  • October - A Photo from Either Wagga AFD or AUFalcon.com Meet'nGreet
  • November - Beach Photo Shoot Split into 5 Parts with QLD , VIC , NSW , SA and WA Members Lined Up on a Beach
  • December - Christmas Themed Photo
Well Thats how i would do it , Im sure there are Heaps more Experianced Photoshoppers in here ..but if you look at it , the Pages would be done in A4 Paper , with them Set to Landscape , with the Photo of the cars on top and the Dates on the Bottom , Back to Back if you get me ...

But yeah , theres an Idea ...

Well gentlemen, unfortunately they had to move the deadline forward a little due to time constraints. As I had received very few submissions I took advantage of an option a number of you had given me a few months back when supplying hi res images (to be published in one of the car mags and for potential future use in a calendar).

I sent over a total of 40 images. 13 have been selected! Of the 13 images one of them is of my car, the remainder of other members cars. Tonight I will post up a copy of all the selected images so people can contact me with some details.

Well, here they are. If you own this car (or picture) you are through step one. These are the images now being considered by the American calendar producers to be a part of a 2008 "Ford" Calendar that will sell internationally.
Its not a guarentee that the image will be in it, but its now in their records as an option. So, who's car is now on the verge of being an international AU superstar?

If you own one of these cars below I need you to PM me with your:
Picture code (eg AU11)
Photographer’s Name
Photographer’s Address
Photographer’s City
Photographer’s State
Photographer’s Post Code
Photographer’s Country
Photographer’s Phone Numbers
Photographer’s E-Mail Addresses
Photographer’s Website (which is www.aufalcon.com)

Car year
Car model (AU Falcon)
Car Type (Sedan, Wagon, Utility)
Car Engine capacity

Remember, if you do get your pic in the calendar you will be paid for it and receive 3 free copies of the calendar and 60% off all further copies. I will also try to get a "group buy" price of 60% for all aufalcon.com members as it may be that we are getting our very own "Australian Ford" calendar!!!!

Anyhow, here are the shortlist entries:

AU002

AU005

AU011

AU012

AU013

AU016
