Thanks for the info guys. Certainly is a tough 302 stroker! I'm looking to get my 302 turned into a 347 later in the year so definitely going to have a chat with Pat. Good luck with the future progress with the GT!

After a bit of discusion;
car weighs roughly 3600lbs with driver has run PB so far 10.54@127.98mph on MT drag radials, with standard suspension, nothing "fancy" albeit with slide-a-links fitted. The questions I have what would be the advatanges of; 1. Chassis connectors? 2. Mono leaf rear springs? 3. Removing front/rear sway bar? 4. shocks front and rear with soft front springs (eg 90/10s etc)? 5. Swapping to caltracs? 6. Running a full slick and front runner? 7. Or any other mod that is normally done?

Normally pickup 0.1-0.2 from front runners . Full slicks are only needed if your losing traction now . Caltracs are great for launches and driving . Using them on Joes 8 sec Capri . Keeps nice and straight and easy to adjust .
90/10's are good for weight transfer , sometimes they can bounce too quickly once the front comes back down after launch and unsettles weight transfer . But you won't know till you try there's always 80/20's or 70/30's if you run into those issues .

Cannot leave off full stall (3600). Tried front runners with full slicks for 2 passes........shook the car like mad (couldn't keep the boot into it), sold them off straight away, would that have been due to the hard suspension set up?
Don't think I have decent footage on MT radials, definitely non on the slicks but here is some on the 205 maxxis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7JP3hh2sLg

If they shook might have had incorrect tyre pressures . But seeing how fast radials can go and hook up , no reason you couldn't try them .
What type of slick did you try ? Soft sidewall , hard sidewall ? Size and tyre pressure ?

They were MT slicks, tried two pressures... Started with what mate was running in his XY with same tyre.
Happy so far with what radials do, once it has one clean perfect run on the radials it will be retired to 205 Maxxis duties.... Going faster and faster just cost more $ lmao

Yeah but the radials allow you to be consistent and competitive .
