They knocked it back.

The lead programmer was speaking to an apple dev on the phone in california to find out why it had been knocked back. One of the things were they didn't like was the code it was written in. Our guy explained it was easier to port across to android and windows in this format. Apple guy then states "I am going to stop you there. It is inappropriate to mention other OS and companies whilst in a conversation with me and apple"..... "goodbye" said our dev! Made me laugh did that!

All apple do is copy now. Yes they were ahead of the game when the ifail was first released but their own arrogance has left them now playing catch up.

You've got to be kidding me? Oh, hang on, It's Apple, nothing in this post surprises me.

Sounds like the guys who use iPhones and this software will have to change over to WP7 and Android.

Apple have always copied. Their first iPhone had far less features and power than an old nokia N95. The only thing it had over the N95 was touch screen. As for the iPad, I'll just leave this here.

yes the tablet device has been around for years and even apple had a prototype years ago but did any of the earlier ones sell in any type of mass no apple succeeded in bringing the tablet to the masses, no they didn't invent it but they did it right and sold a hell of a lot of them something no other company has managed to do...

My point exactly. Remake a product with less performance than something from 7 years ago, act like it is a revolutionary idea, and let fanboys buy en mass. They are employing the same strategy now by removing 'siri' from older iPhones, thus giving people a reason to buy a technically inferior product.

There are people actually running windows 7 on the 8 year old HP 1100... Apple did nothing new, really. They just made an existing idea better.

But really how can you forgive apple for not having an SD card slot? That's just pure greed and every iPhone user knows it.

If it works for you then whatever, as long as you've tried Telstra/Optus so you know what you're missing. Personally I found data speeds a lot better on Optus, coverage as well.

So what's everyone's issue, if nobody made existing ideas better we wouldn't go anywhere. If you dont like something don't get it. Simple

I have never even remotely thought about needing an sd card. I didn't use the one on my N95 and it's just not an issue.

I don't think many people genuinely hate apple, there's just a little bit of disappointment going around, everyone was expecting an iPhone 5, and instead we get a 6 month old chip, some SIRI crap and a fixed antenna (which was never an issue we were led to believe?)

The SD card is an issue because a 16GB iPhone costs $799, and a 32GB is $899. SD cards are $20/16GB $40 32GB.

Also before you go on a long plane trip or whatever you can load up a few SD cards with movies, that would be a nice option to have on iOS.

I'm coming from a 3GS so the 4s is a nice step up. If you have a 4 it's probably not worth the upgrade given you get the iOS update anyway.

Yeh i can see the point but I have about 12 hours of movies etc on mine already as well as 2500 odd songs. I still have room for books and more movies as as well.

It should be bloody superior in every way, being 7 years newer, but it isn't on many levels. IT growth is usually calculated in 7 year cycles, that is technology speed doubles every 7 years.

The point of the SD is to allow easy transfer or large files. Unfortunately this is something apple has always failed on with their phones. Hell the first iPone didn't even have MMS, when everything else had the feature for years.
