Well on Friday night I started back with my personal trainer, and for the past 2 days I've been sooo sore :( I walked to the gym which took 15 mins, did my half hour training session & then walked home which took 25 mins, my legs felt like jelly! But its worth it, I did it 12 months ago & lost 22kgs, so I'm hoping for the same outcome this time, cause after i stopped I put back half of what I lost :

The same thing happened to me when I started back at the gym, but the body got used to it after a week, which is bloody good coz I was starting to have second thoughts, but I'm glad I stuck at it.

Yeah I've got another session on Tuesday night, so hopefully my legs will be recovered by then!

I like the weight watchers method, count your points... my mum does it sometimes (whenever she gets conscience about her self) and i think it works really well... but does any body know where i might be able to get the points book from without joining weght watchers?

This feels really weird discussing weight loss with men..

Me, I'm a gym junkie. I go daily and do weights every second day - I love my gym. I have a fair bit of weight I want to shift, so am in it for the long haul

Ive recently started weight training with my friends, we are on a high(ish) protein diet. Things like Chicken, Turkey, egg whites, unsalted nuts etc etc and have recently gained nearly 2kg in 2 weeks which I am happy about.

I now weigh in at 82.6kg but look leaner and more defined

( my highest was 92kg of solid muscle when I was kickboxing, I'm 6ft )

Keep it up guys, motivation is the key! always helps to have someone there with you

Well here's an update from me. I decided I needed to get serious about losing weight, mainly for my health. As I eat a fairly balanced diet anyway I just decided to try to have a bit more control and smaller portions. I've also decided to do half an hour a day of exercise, mainly aerobics and stuff that I know wont hurt my back. I'm going to go and see my doctor also to get any suggests from her. I think this is an important step because there's often new options and research that we don't know of until you talk to your doctor. One thing I will be discussing with her is the contraceptive pill. For all you girls who are trying to lose weight and are on the pill it could be influencing your weight. New research also suggests it corresponds with higher rates of depression too, something I also suffer with. Depression can really affect your motivation, as well as causing your metabolism and stuff to be sluggish. So maybe talk to your doctor about this if you're a girl on the pill trying to lose weight. Anyway, that's my plan. I'll let you know how I go.

DQ, I had really bad depression and put on 20kg with the pill. I was on it for 4 years. That's what I'm trying to shift now, the pill wieght and post baby weight.

Have you tried Implanon? That was great for me. Didnt have to worry about anything for 3 years!

Well I've gained slightly then lost again... since I posted last I have lost another 0.5kg

It's just a bugger that it's so slow! I am starting up swimming again, walking just doesn't seem to do much for me.

Hope everyone else is going well!

Yes however, wouldnt you rather know that every 6 months a fresh dose is in you?? and the 6 monthly has a higher percential than the 3 yearly :newangel:

I am on the pill and havent gained any more than 3 kg since being on it, also, depression was a slight issue before i met boyfriend, but now 11 months later i havent felt like breaking down or shutting anything out.
Now the plan is to just eat a sh!t load better and loose it...

i lost 20 odd kilos over the lst 2.5 years, but the last 10-15 i want to lose is being a real pain in the ***, so i spoke to my doctor and i am going to trial Xenical. it's a weight loss tablet which you take with meals and it stops you absorbing fat. i'll let ou know how it goes.

Well, it's 5 weeks and a bit since I had a smoke... My other half threw out the scales a couple of years ago, and I haven't had the need to replace them till now...
I don't know how much I weigh... maybe 85-90? I've been replacing nicotine with food and alcohol!
I'm going to get a set of scales, and see how bad it is, and where I can go from there...
