No tune. No dramas. Supposedly the computer adapts after 100km or so. Having a CAI might be a different story, though...

Agreed. You can just hear it when you're "cruising". It's only when you flex your ankle that it makes a little "vroom". Give it WOT, and it's a decent but not a blow out your windows sound. I reckon you'll be satisfied.

Is the above the Apollo you guys used?

Is it cheaper than this one below just because it's plain and black?

Yeah I wanted to get the silver one but it was like $60 more so just stuck with black.

Exhaust is on and I'm enjoying it! Double tip turned down and I only went with a 2" from catback, he said any more will just make a droning noise so figured I'd listen to the guy who does this as a job, and honestly I wouldn't want it any louder. So thumbs up for Performance Exhaust Ringwood!

Pics post lowering springs. Yes, I know the wheels aren't big enough, but I think that size and amount of lowering is the best ride compromise for me.

A before shot for comparison...

Let me get it straight, since I'd rather ask stupid questions before I take things apart than after.

The extra 12mm hose is to connect the existing crankcase breather line directly into the Apollo unit? It doesn't replace the hose altogether, just gets linked to it?

And the MAF sensor doesn't need to be relocated?

The hose i used is a total replacement, i just stole the old clip from the crankcase hose and put it on the new hose to get it to connect up. and there is no MAF to be relocated

I was confused but it's amazingly simple once you look at it all.

I also got a 1m long 12mm hose, but you could easily get about 70cm or so, i'd shorten it but it was a ***** to get the old clip into the end of the hose i don't wanna do it again

I also used the 12mm hose as a total replacement for the crankcase breather line. Yes, you end up hacking up your original breather line but if you ever need to return it to stock, you could easily pick one up from a wrecker.

Did you take the same approach as me? Banging the piece from the old line into the new one on your bench? I swear it took me 5 mins to get it in.

Mine was easy to get on for some reason. I remember using a slither of engine oil as lubricant to slip the hose on.

Are we talking loud when one puts the foot down? Or just in general?

Only when you put your foot down, it's the induction of the air soo can only happen when foot is down, it's alright when stationary but when moving it's better, it's a nice growl! but i don't really hear it as much over my exhaust now.

Was a little joke yesterday saying they removed the pod as part of the payment because no one could hear it anymore.

Now ordered from the US of A for exactly $140 Oz. Not sure how long it'll take to get here, but hopefully quicker than the 3 weeks the Eibach springs took to arrive from Germany.

Nice, remember you will need to get yourself a 70mm 90deg bend tube and a 12mm hose, 70cm should do i'm going to cut mine down it's annoying me being extra long, the more i think about it the more it irritates me.

While we've all got the mod bug... who's willing to go the distance and get a hi flow cat?

I've heard you can hollow out the stock ones but that sounds dodgy.

Once you start with the mods it's very hard to stop!

Yeah me too but I've been doing some reading and you can fix that problem. DZFord on here has done it and it doesn't look too difficult. The exhaust is still being restricted before it enters the pipe with the cat and we all know restriction = evil.

Here's the thread:
