I went "ouch" at your pain, but mainly I laughed at the slip, imagining you on your way down thinking "bloody FF!"

This stuff is so funny.

Worst I have done is porting a set of 2V's and got shit in my eyes, went to hospital and they put drips into my eyes then picked out 3 bits of iron.

I feel your pain, my mum did that when I was in yr 1, didn't break my fingers but they hurt for days.

Tore the labrum off my left shoulder undoing tight bolts (2 shoulder operations to fix and now have 3 pins in shoulder)

Tennis elbow (torn muscles in right forearm)

lots of back problems (lower and upper)

Eyeballs scraped twice to remove metal, once they had to drill my eyeball to remove some metal which had gone in to deep.

lots of burns (not flame burns thank god)

Nearly cut the top off my finger once on a brake backing plate

millions of cuts including some that required stiches

Electric shocks from high energy ignitions (they make your elbow and shoulders ache for quite a while)

Petrol and other chemicals in eyes

Nearly had a car drop on my legs (another mechanic backed into a car I was working half under, knocked it off the jackstands, but luckily I still had a trolley jack under it also, which just rolled with the car)

I suppose that's no too bad seing I've worked and played with cars for 25 years
theres probably more, but that'll do for now

Ok I forgot the time that my hubby started the car while I was just putting the distributor cap back on... got the shock of my life. Felt very very very wobbly and couldn't hit him as I had no strength. I think I cried too.

If it was a point ignition? You would have got a slight wake up call. If it was a electronic ignition? I feel your pain. Electronic ignitions have a nasty bite.

split head open forgetting to duck as i came out from under a hoist! several stitches in head

dropped a four speed gear box on my nose under my old capri 2ltr! ouch! theres still blood on that driveway!

torn the ligaments in both shoulders, trying to undo bolts that were just too tight!

burnt the palm of my hand installing anew ariel on one of my sigmas (nasty bubbly burns!)

lots of scun knuckles and minor cuts

cryshed fingers when the old red xf bonnet fell on them, couldnt reach the bonnet release either had to wait for the nieghbours to come and open it, after lots of yelling!

Damaged hearing when a tyre i was fitting at work exploded.

worst one was after i finished a job on one of my cars i grabbed a beer, and the damn thing exploded in my hand! stitches in my wrist and lucky not to have cut anything vital....but worse still i never got to drink that beer!
