If the car a CEO drives is a measure of a company's success rather than an individuals, then you would maybe have the latest and greatest, upgrading with new model releases...

There are some unwritten rules i think apply to company executives..

1. A more expensive car than majority of staff. Aligned to salary differences
2. A car not older than a few years.
3. I honestly think fords and hyundai etc is out. Too mainstream.
4. Not a fuel miser. Has to be big in size for a bit of presence

Any other requirements
So if you already knew this, remind me again the point of the thread?

Unfortunately first impressions are important. Cant really rock up to a job, change $260 an hour driving a hyundia exel. The client expects a professional, and the car must fit the expectation.

But thats just my opinion. My company car is a VF redline wagon

Obviously a CEO may be different, but not many of us are up there in the clouds

Maybe people should continually post pic’s of AU Falcon's in Hulk’s thread’s to answer his question like this one, it’s as clear as the nose on your face that he has a personal vandeta against the AU Falcon and it’s owner’s, he continuously loves to slot in those snide remark’s about the AU and try’s to dodge his facetious nature in which he post’s.

correct me if I'm wrong, but a major company CEO would probably have sales staff to set up deals so the impression thing to clients would not matter and any deals they did would most likely be done in boardrooms, not car parks

Now that sounds legit.

Billion dollar deals aren't sealed by cars.
Expensive cars show either you have money to burn, or you're about to get burned.

Well a-certain-person may be a troll, but 3 pages so far (and all the other BS threads) suggests they are a successful one.

And so....

It would have to be non-AU-C63-with-Aurion-Engine-no-Boss-for-company-executive-approved-by-BBQ-mates-friend-of-a-friend-of-a-cousin.

But a sensible response would be no company car, and just lease one on his/her ridiculous salary.

Can i correct you.. My thread is about ALL company executives...just just CEO of major corporations...

Also some people think a company executive would drive the same car as a company janitor.

. Its not just sales to customers that leads to buying decent cars.. its about leadership, showing the fruits of your hard work, motivating people to be aspirational.. and enjoying the finer things as you earn a better income.

This thread is also not about AU falcons.. my reference is simply to illustrate the perception if a company executive drove one to work. I could have used many cars as an example, used AU as its familiar to us.

I know a guy that was employed as a senior manager and turned up to work in a ed falcon..

He was tapped on the shoulder to sharpen his act and next week he bought a new jeep cherokee... week after promoted to a company executive.

Very materialistically oriented post which may be how you see the world Hulk, but not everyone looks through the same lens. If I was to become CEO of a company, I would have my ZD rotisseried and engine/drivetrain beefed up and that would become my daily 'finer thing' to drive to and from work...

People always say "if i become CEO"... well why dont you?

Same with cars... if you have capacity to buy a better car (or be a CEO)..you will.

Gee I'm glad I work in a sector that values work ethic, integrity and a social conscious. Otherwise if what Hulk is saying is true, I'd be demoted from an international management role cause I spend my money on things that matter like family, children and adopting an orphan.

Not everyone in high level management Hulk lives in a self centered, egocentric, shallow world. I'd show more respect to the guy/girl who is prepared to spend less on his car/stuff and more on benefiting their communities.

And work more than 5 hours a day???? Do weekend work!!! Give up 12 weeks holiday every year???? Never!!!!!

I still don't think that I could be convinced to buy a new car if that's what you mean by 'better'...

Ever heard of the term dress for success?

It extends to your haircut, brand of glasses you wear (specsaver or prada), watch, shoes, haircut......AND.....drumroll....car!!

I'd imagine a CEO could afford a wide variety of cars. Ultimately what they decide on would very much land on what they like to drive.

Personally I would have a nice Euro but have a bit of Aussie mongrel as backup. But that is because I like cars and no other reason.

They are at the top, they don't need to appear bigger than what they are. After all they have no equal where they work anyway.

A car for a Company Executive should be both practical for work and pass the scrutiny of the BBQ crowd.

Did you bother to read all the replies in your thread?
You started it but you do not control it. Just as you do to other peoples posts, this took a turn and was running about CEO's

so you drive a Territory now, so I can assume you are a stay at home mum, as that is the general consensus for those type of cars with a lot of car enthusiasts
