As last week was the end of term we didnt have as much on so i only did 18hrs, 5 of that at what we call wait time where you get half rate for waiting for the return trip, but was under the impression id get one more pay at the full rate. Didnt happen because our pay wasnt processed by Sunday night so i only received the amount for the 18hrs worked which was $390 clear, as i said not complaining, just wasnt expecting a $265 shortfall this week.
Your employer isn't required to pay your superannuation contributions either if you're being paid the $750 or less per week. If your wages were greater than $750p/w, and job keeper was used as a top up or subsidy, then your employer has to pay your superannuation. Chances are, you're employer is also getting the cash boost grants and has had a 6 month holiday paying IAS. Some businesses have actually benefited from this program.

I'd take my chance with any vaccine in consultation with my treating physician.

Not quite.
The employer still pays the super contribution for the pay earnt for the actual hours worked, so if I did 20hrs @ $27hr then the employer only pays super on $540, then i'd be topped up by $210 to $750 gross, that $210 is super exempt.

Ok. I do note there were several rolling changes to eligibility and the SG when Job Keeper started.

Hopefully they’ll also have a vaccine in suppository form.

A fringe question, I’ve considered it independently and also (subsequently) seen similar in the media.

Will increased rates of “working from home” and other related activities, be likely to raise power demand in Australian capital cities to the point where some load shedding or brown-outs are likely?

I’m considering a small standalone solar power system, and this may be the tipping point.

Data valid as at 23:58 GMT October 1st, 2020.

Note:
As not all Australian States report at the same time, the data below is based on the previous full day reporting except for the Victorian 14 day moving averages.

18 new cases for Australia and 2 deaths so the CMR rises to 3.277% while active cases drop to 1,424. NSW recorded 3 cases, WA recorded 1 with the balance in Victoria.

The Victorian State 14 day moving average is now 16.5 with metro at 12.8 (14 unknown) and regional at 0.2 and no unknown cases. Victoria reported 7 new cases for the last 24 hours.

18 new cases and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 1.353% and active cases rise to 53.

The UK had a slightly lower 6,914 new cases yesterday. We know they are now not counting their mortalities by the WHO guidelines so we are going to ignore the CMR but even using their method they had 59 deaths yesterday.

Just under 41k new cases in the USA yesterday and 955 deaths sees CMR drop to 2.843% and active cases drop to 34.1% with the raw numbers falling. Note that the USA is actually minus one day due to time differences.

Other notable points:
The USA completes 108M, India 75M, France 11M and Iran 4M tests;
Italy recorded their highest daily total (2,548) since April 24th;
Europe recorded a new daily case high of 68,322 (30/9);

Angola (142), Moldova (1,022), UAE (1,158), Poland (1,967), Czechia (3,484), Iran (3,825), Ukraine (4,069) recorded a new daily high; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive days.

According to this report from AEMO, it won't cause power demand to rise.

Depends on how cheap you can get a battery for I suggest.
There is talk of an overload of solar power due to the success of the rooftop rollout over recent years.
Too much solar, yeah I know right !

Click-bait feed has a banner saying both positive, but all new stories I can find have both being tested and in quarantine - so not sure which

Hydroxychloroquine flunks Phase III trial in mild-to-moderate Covid-19
The study adds to the growing body of evidence that the drug, promoted early in the pandemic by President Trump, is ineffective, despite its getting a briefly renewed lease on life earlier this month thanks to a retrospective analysis.

Thought it wasn't a problem, back peddle or what !

Now that is a breaking news headline when it comes to Trump.

It will be interesting to see how severe his symptoms are and whether it changes his perspective.

Some people have suggested that he doesn't actually have it but is saying he does so that he can show his 'recovery' in a couple weeks, use it as proof as to how mild the disease is even for the elderly. Wouldn't surprise me! Or perhaps he just wants to keep himself locked away so that he doesn't catch it while it's spreading amongst his inner circle, Kim Jong Un-style.

with all due respect, who knows, he is a showman as opposed to a President. Lets just hope he doesn't get too sick and we don't see him on a respirator as karma for his bs
