spotted a TS going the other way on the freeway the other day. sadly i had to merge (not an easy thing in Perth), i was doing 80, he was doing 80 and was 4 lanes away. time seems to have stood still since i ordered the car.

I see 3 or 4 of these cars everyday to and from work. Very common car now. Ford must be making a lot of sales.

Canberra. Today I saw 2 TS, 1 blue and 1 black. Yesterday 3 blacks, 1 blue and 1 TS

I don't see as many XR5's as I do as these ST's

I've seen precisely 1, TS, parked at the Marriott Sydney forecourt. That was in december just before we picked ours up. Other than that not a single one - a few fake body kits, but no real ST.

To and from. Last 2 days I took different roads to work. But I agree, most likely the same cars, as its around the same time mornings and arvo's.

Might try to remember their get a look at their plates.

Can't say I have seen many myself, saw a blue one parked on Taren Point Road last November or thereabouts, saw a TS on the M4 just before Christmas. I have seen a couple of trucks heading east on the M4 with a load on them in the past few weeks.

TS is the bright orange color. It stands for Tangerine Scream.

I originally was going to order a TS but ended up buying a black one. That colour would start to annoy me after a while, it's not a colour I could live. Does anyone have an ST yet? If you have one before 2012, you will find it has Chrome headlights. Did you notice why?

Bit bright for me too, but its a personal thing. Unsure what was going on with the chrome headlights, mine has them and was delivered in December. Other countries seemed to get the blackened ones from day one. It appears the latest batch to hit our shores has the blackened lights.

The ST actually comes standard with black headlights. Any ST's with Chrome headlights are pre-production or "show" vehicles and apparently there is a very small amounts.

I was dead set on the black headlights, but have decided both look great and I wouldnt mind either.

Received some news about mine this morning after pestering the dealer, it has finally been built and is waiting to be allocated to a boat in Germany. So should be around a mid April delivery. Better start that 60 day countdown from.... now

If what Joshuast is saying is true, then they have been in "pre-production" for an awful long time. All UK, US, EU and AU ones built before January/December seem to be silver. Then they switched to black.

I think it's just a matter of they chose silver, but switched to black at a refresh point - probably along with some other minor changes.

People in the UK were managing to get a free switch to black from silver, not likely here. But I like the silver.

Anyway, I'm happy at the moment, as of yesterday my stereo works again. Was broken since january while the dealer waited on an update from Melbourne.

Hahaha. Spoke to my ford dealer just to clear things up and he said the silver were the first release as a pre-production model and the all ST only come with the black headlights. I'm happy with mine.

Sure, would have taken the blackened HID's as an option if it was available, but can live with the chrome given I just wanted one of these at the earliest opportunity, my lease expiry on previous vehicle helped with the timing, in fact had these on my radar for 12 months prior to that

I've seen the odd one but the dealer I've bought mine off has delivered around 20 so far with plenty more deposits taken. but mines the first one on the their Facebook hehe ;) and had all the workers drooling when I picked it up

Mines a November build with black hid lights. And the new phone control they work pretty good mind you the owners book still has the old ones in it lol

Yep mines Feb 13 build. Yours must be very late December because speaking to my dealer they said they had two Dec builds arrive last week.

Where did you get this info from? I highly doubt that we have pre production models.

If this is true then why is there ST's in Europe with chrome headlights, because they got theirs a lot earlier than us.

sensational. looks like all new ones from here on will have black lights.

i checked the name of teh ship mine is on...Tomar. there are two ships with that name, one is currently docked in Belgium, the other is sailing down the west coast of Africa and is due in South Africa on the 25th. Which means it probably wont arrive in Fremantle under early / mid March and then on to the rest of Oz. i am guessing a few of us have their car on that boat.

Pre-product means in this term a car that is produced before it's actual release date. I was told by my dealer (who ordered the first two ST's in Aust) that these were showroom display cars and that you had to order them in. I was lucky to buy mine and if you go online to Google, there are only photos of my black st chrome lights. That's how crazy it is.
