That's right, Australians... Go home early, whack on the Baby Animals CD, light the candles, open a bottle of wine, slip between the sheets and think of Lindsay:

More mouths, more goods, more trucks. Just greed at work, which is all supporters of a BIG Australia are about.

Obviously you're a person of principle and you've made the decision to abstain from any and all forms of reproduction. So a sincere thank you for your contribution (perhaps non-contribution is more appropriate) towards the saving of Australia.

You would be correct. No children for me.

But thats not the point, the point is having one for Australia. What is that crap?, but a message to breed to increase the population.

Spot on Mr smith! My thoughts exactly when I heard him blabbing on about this.

Cheap, how is a big Australia going to save Australia? We are already a country of large food importation, Farmers selling up their land everyday to developers as the urban sprawl continues to grow, our road infrastructure can barely handle the traffic as it is, only going to get alot worse before it gets better, try driving down Hoddle St (Melb) at peak hour, you can't its a car park!

You're confusing population V's concentration of people in small area

As for food importation, and farmers selling their farms, this is an economic decision, it has nothing to do with Australia's land mass not being able to feed our population.

Australia has very large land mass yes, but only a small percentage is habitable, thus lots of congestion around major cities. You still didn't answer my question

Not sure what more you want me to say - so here goes:

There are vast tracts of land available, but name one government with a working decentralisation policy? When was the last time you hear any government wanting to expand/create a major regional city/centre? And you wonder why your city streets are congested?

Also the FBT hasn't help regional Australia, yet another unintended consequence from a socialist government. Now it is fly in and fly out workers, what hope does a small county town have to develop. And you wonder why the streets are congested?

Finally there is the greenie looney fringe who just want to control every facet of your live and generally make life difficult for everyone. Mandate how many children, live in a small meager house, wage control, where to live, what to eat and so on, brainwashing one-on-one. No one can do anything without first getting greenie permission. And you wonder why your city streets are congested?

Do you get the picture now?
