An agents job is to advertise and sell a house.
I buyers job is to inspect a house before they buy it. Not sure why all the blame is being thrown at agents...

I don,t think anyone disputes that the agents role is to get the best return for the vendor BUT they don,t have to resort to evasive answers and outright lying to achieve the outcome they want. i looked at a couple of mid range properties last year and was annoyed at the way agents tried to side step relevent questions.Maybe agents rely on what vendors tell them but when blind Freddy can see a potential problem the agent shouldn,t try to avoid questions.
