Apparently, Stillwell's hired the guy out of the Police Academy movie that used to park cars at the car parking station....anyone remember the "up on two wheels" parking attempt?

Can anyone confirm that it was indeed an employee from Stillwell Ford or was just someone hooning up the street. Does anyone know if the driver was actually injured? How long ago was this?

Okay, this is all i know about what happened. I work at Stillwells here in Adelaide. It was not an employee. The driver had been reported before the accident for street racing, at the time of the crash he was racing a statesman, came round the small bend, and the back end came out, hit the statesman, and he lost control. The statesman kept goin, and was later charged with street racing and leaving the scene of an accident. The driver was charged with street racing and dangerous driving, insurance didnt cover the accident. 12 cars on the stillwell hyundai yard were written off. The driver had minor cuts and bruises, and his girlfriend walked away unharmed. The ute just missed (by less than a second) a employee of stillwells, walking to her car.

12 cars were written off??? He must have barrell rolled over them all.Hate to do that much damage and not be covered by insurance.I would have offered him cash for his motor but it looks like he has * that as well.

Why do people come here if they dont read?

The ute had nothing to do with Hyundai, except parking. It was crashed by its owner according to the original thread, and repeated in here.

Sorry - I was focussed elsewhere, I am glad there are folk who have superior attention to "post detail" and able to pay more attention to detail than I.

I (personally) come here because I like ford forums, the community and the other folk who like cars. I do try to read, but clearly dont do as well as others!

Should you care -

Maybe a way of rephrasing you post - should you be concerned about how your post is percieved might be: "Turbotaxi (or Roy - Both work equally well) perhaps you didnt understand the situation, the car was not on the lot for sale ( as was the other accident that was referred to), it was a private car (as per XXXXXXXXX Posted information).'
The car was (apparently -if needed) engaged in a street race at the time of the incident.

Its nice to feel important, its as important to be nice.

You know when you read a post the inflection perceived is often inherent in the reader, not the poster.

No peds got killed cause its Adelaide, virtually no peds or people seem to live there anyway. The streets were probly deserted too.

Bit ova 12 Months ago I bought a car from Stillwells Commercial down the road a bit more from this one. The dealer picked me up from the airport and we drove through town at around 10am in the morning on a thursday. The place was so quiet and sleepy even at that time, I just couldnt beleive it. Compared to Gold Coast and Bris and also Sydney where I used to do quite a bit of work in the city, randwick and olympic park the place was like a deserted ghost town.
