Default Ford Employee Pricing

As a Ford Worker I wonder if Ford care if voucher's are offered on this forum? Does anyone know? I'd be glad to give my two away, so far I've got a couple of friends having a think about it but I don't think they are really serious. I

Also I just hope other Ford workers out there spread the word so that these vouchers get used, be a shame to let them go to waste.

You got it. Usually includes Albury/ through to as far as griffith. Closer to Melb than Sydney. A lot of companies do that.

Shows me what these vehicles can be sold for & just how Far from realistic many dealers are with the Deals they are Offering.

I am also never a Fan of Discrimination as sure it is great for the Ford workers & friends however for the rest of us not so great & may even make used values less for those of us who already have Ford vehicles that we paid close to top Dollar for.

This should be offered to the General Public with the same Terms & Conditions, what about the person say who has been a Loyal Customer & Purchased over the years many Ford Vehicles, surely they are more worthy than some friend of a Ford Employee who may have never owned a Ford & may not even like Ford Products however would buy just on Price alone.

Is just not fair fullstop!

Ford employees do not include Deaership employees, they only include Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited employees, of whom all but a handful are based in Melbourne. Dealerships cannot sponsor anyone, only Motor Company employees.

It's only valid for delivery by Southern Region Dealers, which includes some southern NSW Dealers such as Wagga and Albury and Tasmanian Dealers.

Because there are no employees anywhere else besides Geelong and Broadmeadows.
Anywhere else and they aren't Ford employees, they are dealer employees.

Staff price is just that. Companies choose to give their staff some incentive to buy their products at very cheap prices. They cannot make every sale at this price or they would soon go broke. Profit may be a dirty word to some but it is what pays peoples wages. Owners/investors also need a return on their investment otherwise they wouldn't invest. In manufacturing, it is sometimes better to sell product at minimum profit to keep the factory busy. If there is no work there is a big loss. It items are sold at cost or close to cost there is little or no profit - but there is also no loss. The number of sales you can do at crazy prices is certainly limited.
Cheers
Keith

As a Ford worker I think it is only fair that they offer some incentive to workers to purchase a car at a slightly cheaper price. We work hard and it can be an uncertain industry to work in. It's still a major purchase even with a discount so its not like everyone can afford to take the offer. I highly doubt this program will make a dint on used car prices.

Can anyone confirm with certainty if Griffith and/or Wagga, or for that matter any southern NSW dealer, is included in this deal.

Ford also offer a similar deal to some of it's supply partners.
If you work for Bosch etc,you can buy Australian built Fords,Falcon and it's offshoots, with a 20% discount off RRP but it doesn't include things like special offers or run out deals I was told and you must keep the car for at least 11 months.

I knew I would get at Least 1 oh Woe is us Reply lol

I Look at it this way as Far as Employers offering Incentives on top of a Wage,

The Employee gets paid for a Job they do & this should be enough as many People out there work Hard in uncertain areas & get no Extra Incentive or maybe a very small Incentive such as a smallish % Discount on goods Purchased from the Employer which makes sense to me but not the Huge Discounts offered here on Vehicles.

GM in America gave its Employess Huge Extras packages only to go Broke lol

At the end of the Day if you work for Ford you should buy Fords anyway even at Full Price to help Secure your Job & as Loyality for your Employer

And if Ford wish to keep Production Moving then they need to offer Discounts to the Public although smaller ones or as it has been said they may go broke.

Just about every job has its little perks, I think its great that Ford looks after its employee's this wat, its probably one of the reason i meet many people who have worked for Ford their entire working life. It creates loyalty to the brand.
If Ford expected them to pay the full price then whats to stop them buying other makes.

I dont know what planet that your living on, Ford are offering huge incentives to the general public. You can buy a 45k xr6 for 35,888. And its an 2009 built car. Thats 20% of the RRP.

I can tell you from experiance that while a Ford Employee gets a good deal when a car is first released, often down the track the regular retail buyer can almost get the same deal beacause of the bonus's and retail incentives that ford puts on to move stock.

Late last year stock levels were very high and ford offered some super pricing to Ford employee's on 08 plate local built models. It was a very effective way of clearing our stock, therefore not having cars sit around costing the dealers money and making room for Ford to build more cars.
