Its Irrelevant... in 1971 the Chase wasn't there, and tires were crap.

That was awesome to watch,I couldn't look away.Makes me wish I had that sort of skill .time and money to give it a go.

RWHP has been mentioned, but what about that torque! I was mesmerised
watching the shaker getting nailed under power then snapping back when he lifted his foot.

Awesome. It deserves its own website or somerthing. Theres another GTHO rocket getting around the circuits. A bloke called Joe Mc Guinness in Autopro Lithgow colours flew past me at Calder last month. The things also weapon. My engineer reckons it was faster than the V8 supercars at the end of the straight.

Was that an ol' Vauxhall at the top of the Mtn?

Great vid, lots of classics on the track and a few not so classics. A Studebaker so far up in the pack? :P

The only negative was the crappy music.

Yes.. the Tilley XY/clevo is a standout, and seems to have a bit more than other XY's in the series.
The cars that are built to full TCM specs are no longer elligible for Historics, the development $$ for the TCM series is spiraling too, the top cars in TCM are serious purpose built racecars now..

Finally a recent bathurst race worth watching! So much better than the falcodores with hybrid drivelines doing the freight train. Great mix of cars, sounds, handling etc. Why do we persist with the modern category. Change it back to production car racing and i will be interested again.

The only thing the charger did was block him and slow him down.. you're right though, i wonder what was ahead of him and if he was catching them?

Pretty sure a Charger came 1st , The 265 Hemi's go just as good seen them hammer the opposition around Phillip island plenty of times,i have even seen one dispose of a 378 stroker Clevo with all the great gear aswell. Maybe you should of got your Clevo out for a cruze when i was hassling you a while back i bet the Pacer would of whipped your a$$. even with me behind the wheel. All in all a great vid the Clevo certainly has a great sound.

Great video, especially for my generation that never go to follow this car on the track (or off it) being born in the 80's will do that to you! It's good in a way, we get to learn new things about the HO all the time.

Awesome.
There are two classic sounds that cannot be matched by todays machinery.
1. The sound of a clevo.
2. the sound of a duke.
