Matching Centercaps to rims

I promise this thread isn't as boring as the title suggests.

Next week I am sending my rims off to get polish (below).

Now, Ive been wanting to do this for ages but before I go through with it I need to know how I can get my plastic center caps to match the new polished look.(below)

Any ideas? The only thing I can come up with at the moment would be trying to find some metal (maybe chrome) spray paint and doing that. But that doesn't make me feel very confident that it will match.

Perhaps custom caps? But then I would imagine that a place would charge a crazy amount to make them. As you can see, they are not your ordinary plain circle.

So if anyone has any ideas, fire away!

Plastic chromed would be the way to go. Theres people around that do it and im sure someone here would have had it done.

there was an article in street machine a while back about plastic chrome. may be worth a look.

Why not just run them with the centre caps off and get some chrome wheel lugs off the shelf from the tyre shop?

When you say lugs, do you just mean nuts?

While I could live with that for a couple of days, there will be a pretty big whole where the cap is meant to be, which I know would bother me.

Its just that plastic chroming is not cheap. Your probably looking at around $70 each centrecap. It will only cost you about $50 for a set of chrome wheel nuts, and then you could just get a set of Ford centre caps to block the round, 2 inch wide centre section.

Best thing to do is just look up 'Electroplaters' in the Yellow Pages and ask. But I know that when I called one 3 years ago about getting my interior door handles plastic chromed they quoted $75 per handle.

Just thought I would give ya's an update.

I sent them to tyerpower, as they have a company that polish them up. I got qouted $400 just for the polishing, so i might give it a miss. It was going to be a PIA to match it all up anyway.

But its not all bad, Ill get these rims fitted this afternoon and then that money can go towards lowering it.
