Thanks for the tip Olympus, id be quite happy with something like that, as ive made friends at the dealers here in Spare Parts, so it's not a problem to get new bumpers etc.

Mate, check out this one... I wanted it so bad, but in reality i think im just gonna keep my car.
http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2153931&cur rent_rec=6&total_rec=18&sort_type=&make_id=6&model _id=17&keyword=AU&state_id=7&search_distance=25&cs _trans_id=2&cylinder_num=6 AUII XL, 4L I6 Manual. Imagine it, with 18s/19s lowered, exhaust, with a clear side indicators, and car bra. Maybe even a SVO Grill, it would look as MEAN as guts!!! : It's a series ii so u get the good features (twin pot callipers, abs, smartshield...), plus the nice black/warm charcoal interior, reasonably low kms. I'm nearly hitting myself that i'm not buying it, but oh well.

I'll try to get an example for you guys of what I'm trying to say. Just a little side note, I've realised, in QLD especially, that clicks dictate the price on the car. Just saw a 2000 Falcon Forte for $9990 with 147,000 on the clock. EDIT - Wow. This is a steal guys. 2002 BA Falcon XT

Here's a few... note that these are "fixed price" rather than auction vehicles, and they generally indicate a slightly higher price than you'd get for ones at auction. Even still they are great value!
I reckon the first link would be well worth considering, and further, considering that you could actually beat this deal at an auction! : http://www.pickles.com.au/servlet/Au...m_id=250119723 http://www.pickles.com.au/servlet/Au...m_id=450262905 http://www.pickles.com.au/servlet/Au...m_id=500213139

16,500 BA XT Egas or Petrol 65-100k ranging from 13,500 for one with 100kms on it to about 17 or 18 with about 50 or 60 thousand kms on them. IMO chase down an ex cop car. i know they get a work out but you get better suspension, cc, lsd as well this is what im looking at doing. |

Some good suggestions here but remember that on top of the purhcase price etc, i have to pay rego, insurance and fuel too. And ideally id like some left over to personalise it a bit.
Im looking at a Focus atm, and im going to go to an auction here on Wednesday and see what i can expect to pay.
