Two decent “spots” yesterday.

A red non-Calais VL sedan near Baulkham Hills, by the way its trim fitted I think an original in great condition - not a restoration. Personalised plates, bonus points for not being a poxy survivor on club rego.

In the back blocks of Castle Hill’s industrial area, an XP hardtop with the front end on a dolly.

The owner of that AU previously raced an XB coupe in the same series. That XB won the chanpionship 4 yrs in row by memory.

Other way around for me.
Always see the wagons, rarely spot a sedan.

Look at that gorgeous body shape from the late 90's, err early 90's, err 80's err 70's.
At least there's a long time span of parts around.

Running rough? Serviced every 5k? My go would be fuel.

My X-Trail started to run a little rough, especially on cold starts. Even when filling with 98 at non BP (independent) stations. A tank full of BP 98 fixed it. Won't look back.

Parked near a previously seen Alfasud this morning at the local shops. Owner showed up and we briefly chatted. Its still on original rego, owner said it was 44 years old and a one owner car, which looked about right if he'd bought it as a young man.

It looks like a well loved survivor car. Next time I'll grab a snap.

He did say getting parts was becoming a real problem.
