My latest article, this time featuring Bilt Hamber Atom Mac.
https://detailingshed.com.au/blogs/a...-a-quick-guide https://detailingshed.com.au/product...d72f0e4f&_ss=r I chased a product like this for the longest time, now we have two specific products that can prevent flash rusting of brake rotors. The first being Hydes Serum Rustopper, which I managed have shipped to Australia despite it being off the cards for air freight. It then landed in the Detailing Shed store after numerous requests from me. https://detailingshed.com.au/product...f0919567&_ss=r Atom Mac arrived shortly after and does a similar job, but I have found it to be more effective. The bottle itself is expensive, but hyper concentrated, so it will go a very long way when diluted at the recommended 5% ratio. I apply it after cleaning each wheel, then again after the final rinse before blow drying. This is super anal level detailing, but something I conder worth having, especially if you have black wheels.

Two articles posted this week, the latest on the updated MTM PF22.2 Foam Cannon.
https://detailingshed.com.au/blogs/a...cannon-in-2024 https://detailingshed.com.au/product...f10b2db9&_ss=r https://detailingshed.com.au/product...f10b2db9&_ss=r What I love about this update is not only does it improve the overall user experience, but the upgrade kit can also be used on other non-MTM foam cannons. If you have an older foam cannon with a narrow thread, I highly recommend this relatively cheap and simple upgrade, as can be seen on my original Waxit foam cannon.

A little mid week re-stock, along with some new products to try.
The Rag's to Riches is a restock. I had intentions of trying something new, but after looking into it, consensus seems to be that R2R is the clear leader. https://detailingshed.com.au/product...4454414c&_ss=r The additional foam cannon cannister (with matching cap) is so I can store Bilt Hamber Touchless, meaning all I have to do is connect the foam cannon and off I go. https://detailingshed.com.au/product...9451f891&_ss=r Gyeon Quick Detailer was bought out of curiosity, those who have used it speak highly of it. Not that I was looking for a new quick detailer, I still love P&S Paint Gloss. https://detailingshed.com.au/product...05fc3b72&_ss=r 3D Bead It Up is a polymer spray sealant, basically 3D's take on Bead Maker. From what I have seen, Bead It Up lasts longer and is easier to deal with. Bead Maker smells nicer though. https://detailingshed.com.au/product...097c2f85&_ss=r The newest product here is The Rag Company's new Ultra Wool Mitt, primarily designed for wheel cleaning. Compared to their microfiber Ultra Wheel Mitt, the Wool Mitt is much smaller, ideal for intricate wheels. I also like the trimmed cuff, which makes it easier to find the opening after floating in the bucket. https://detailingshed.com.au/product...da0bfcd2&_ss=r

One of the best things about daylight saving is the ability to always have time to get the car washing done on the weekend. It's never ideal to wash during the day if the sun is out but at least during summer there is ample time later in the day to get the job done.
Struggling to motivate myself to wash the cars in this cold weather. Am I the only one?

Cannot remember the last time the i30 was washed… maybe two months? It doesn’t do a lot of kms though. Mazda missed out for 6 weeks atleast with a lot of rain, then a road trip. It has no sealant on it either, made it a pain to clean. Need to get motivated.

Yep summer is great obviously - I’m an early riser wash 2 cars from sunrise perfect washing time by 9am done. Just washed the 2 yesterday morn - probably was 10deg, once you get going doesn’t bother me but what does is drying them down, still get some dew now and then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I washed my car last Saturday morning, i think it was about 4 degrees. Fortunately it never really gets dirty so it didnt take long. Im dreading doing the better halves car as it hasnt been done in a while so i might wait till it 'warms' up in the arvo to do it. Summer time is much better, im an early riser so i like to do it in the morning before it gets too hot.

https://sydneytools.com.au/search?p=1&q=heated%20jacket I spend so much time outdoors, be that in the cold/wet/dry/hot/wind, that I'm used to it. Not that I like frozen fingers and toes in winter, or melting in hot summer sun. However, I've found that having warm water in the buckets helps quite a lot in winter. Of course, I'm fortunate to have a sink in the garage, but you could always fill the buckets in the laundry. I would also recommend getting some waterproof shoes to prevent cold, wet feat. I hate leather boots, once soaked they take ages to dry out, which then leads to feet cold. Bogs have a range of waterproof boots that also contain a special lining to help retains heat, these are great for cold winter mornings, but they will roast your feet in the summer. https://www.bogsfootwear.com.au/shop/index.html https://www.bogsfootwear.com.au/shop...ots/page0.html I've been wearing the Craftsman for many years now, a have a pair for work (dirty) and a pair for detailing (clean). https://www.bogsfootwear.com.au/shop...52192-001.html
