Default V8 for the AU

Well it the time again .. well sorta

I have a race prep AU shell, a set of top nodge Windsor heads ...

Options I have are a 351w 4 bolt SVO block from the states for around 3500 bare ... heads bolt straight up no worries, drops in easu enough, accessories bolt up and engine mounts bolt up too. I also know there are no strut tower clearance issues, etc

now Option II is get a 351c, which is already 4 bolt and overall a very strong block. now bolting my windsor head onto it = good or bad idea, also what intake manifold would fit, mind you i ginna keep it injected. And also the issue of strut tower clearance due to wider overall body of the clevo .. oh and best of all its cheaper

Now target is 700HP, 7000rpm, injected ...

now ideas people?

If you want 700 horsepower I think you may want to look at better heads. You may be able to source some better heads from USA .

The cleveland motors with the 4v heads are a nice place to start as well with their much larger valves. 2V heads flowed well but the 4v were better.

Stick with the SVO heads, and if you dont clear 600-700 hp. You can always bolt on a supercharger heh

What he said.I have a close relative who has a windsor which redlines at 7000 rpm..this shouldnt be a problem depending on budget and the quality of engine bulider.
