I live in a Cul-de-sac and years ago the then young girl across the street threw rubbish out on the road as they were reversing.

As I was out the front of my house, I casually walked up to the rear of the car causing them to stop, opened the passenger door and said "I think you dropped something" and gave the young lady back her rubbish.

Suffice to say the young lady whom usually had a big foul mouth didn't know what to do and took the rubbish back, I then politely said have a nice day and shut the door.

done similar and had the same result. It's a great feeling seeing them pick up or take back rubbish they've just deliberately dropped.

Jesus Id hate to live around some of you lot, Im guessing you accept littering etal because you do it freely yourself.

Just not in my corner of the world please peoples.

First of all take a look at the chemical concoctions that are in your drinking water thats put by your government in the first place.
Sometimes a car can be smokey because a person may not be able to afford to get the engine reconditioned or has an injector issue ect, half the time you don't know if your car is smokey because it is bit hard to see from the drivers seat.
It's like if someone's rope is dragging on trailer or lights not working, tell them don't take videos and put it on stupid social media .

Without any emotion but logic!
I have no problem with what is put into our water legally, and transparently by the water authorities, to date I have not read or found any credible evidence suggesting otherwise, and I look every now and then.

However the scenario I alluded too, where I would act and may consider using a downloadable APP is where a person or corporation or even mum and dad business is illegally, imorrally and unethically disposing of pollutants into the environment. Of course if I happen across this situation, then they must be doing it in the environment I and my family and even some of you guys and families are frequenting, making it my and should be your business. Do we just ignore it, move our families away and stick our heads in the clean sand elsewhere and hope nobody is adversely affected in the future?

I have no sympathy for poor people or rich people or anyone driving un-roadworthy cars, whether it is smoke filling our lungs or bald tyres causing them to crash into us in the wet. I believe there are alternatives to driving an un-roadworthy car an don't care if they cant find them.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that the trailer owner is aware of the loose rope, the 'damage' that action or inatention may cause is miniscule to nothing, yes id pull up beside or otherwise indicate the issue as have done many times, but assuming their act is not intentional I dont see the need to 'dob' plus I must consider is the driver likely to bash-me-brains in for pointing it out?
Judging by many responses here some of the polluters might!

God I wish people were less interested in what others are doing and worry about themselves.
Exactly....the police allready watch, and have the power to fine people for littering and or having loud exhausts and so on. The law has better things to do then weed thru all these garbage apps....

I wonder if there is an app to report people who take threads to the extreme.

A while ago a friend received a penalty notice from the EPA for throwing a cigarette butt out his van window, only problem is that he does not smoke, some do-gooder got it wrong and caused him a lot of aggravation.
I had some "goody two shoe would be if they could be copper" pull a similar stunt on me in 2003. Except they didn’t ring the EPA, they rang my boss to try and get me sacked.

I was driving a B double petrol tanker on the Calder freeway near Sunbury one night and the car in front threw a cigarette butt out of his window. He was probably about three hundred metres in front of me and I saw a few sparks as it hit the road.

Cigarette butts out of windows really p1ss me off but it was the middle of winter and the likelihood of it starting a fire was very remote, however, these things stay lit for quiet a while and as I drove over it, sparks flew out from underneath the tanker. Mister goody two shoes in the car behind me leaves his high beam on as he overtakes me going up Gap Hill.

I didn’t think much of it other than he was a “merchant banker” and continued on with my night.

Two days later, I had a please explain from my boss. This clown had contacted BP who in turn contacted my boss (we were contractors for them) and BP wanted blood. Someone was going down and they were going to make sure it happened. There was only one small technicality. Not only do I not smoke, I’ve never smoked, not once ever.

Things got a little bit nasty between all of us as I was prepared to undergo a blood test to prove that there was no nicotine in my system. After a heated discussion between a few managers, nothing more happened over it.

I don’t have a problem with people who have a genuine concern, if he rang the cops or EPA, it would have been fine but he didn’t. This scumbag just tried to get me sacked and it didn’t work.
