Saw a post on another list last night that got me wondering.....
Simple newbie-style question, but now I'm confusalated The dished washer that goes either side of your trackarm bush for the sway bar, which way around should it be mounted? - concave to bush (compress the bush) - convex to bush (let it ride around the washer face as things move) I've only ever seen them mounted convex face to bush, but after 20-40yrs of different mechanics and pulling things apart, who knows which swaps have occurred. The Manual says....'fit the correct way around...'.... and then neglects to tell you which is actually the correct way. Just thought I'd check, and maybe learn something new after all these years. |

Concave out, convex toward the bush. The angle between the sway bar and arm changes quite a bit as the suspension moves so this stops the washers binding on the arm.
