Some of my power window switches do not light up.I have taken the switch out and there is a globe inside.Ford do not sell the globe you have to buy the whole switch.Is there a way of fixing this problem with out buying the whole switch.Thanks for your help

Heyhey fernsantos,
I had that same problem in my AUII Ghia. I couldn't find anywhere (AutObarn, SuperCheap, Dick Smith etc) that stocks the little LEDs by themselves. I asked Ford and they wanted $200 for the whole power window switch replacement (ie, all 4 switches as a unit) So, off to the wreckers I went. And $5 later I owned a replacement switch (all 4 switches). That is my advice, to go to a wreckers. I knew Ford were a rip on replacement parts, but sheesh!! The only problem I have is that in the high series (like the one you have), the LEDs are white, whereas the 'lower' series have a more yellow-ish LED. So, I swapped one from the back door to the front, and the back door now has a more yellow-ish one. Hope it helps

Chuck LEDs in there, there's a tutorial on here somewhere, check the results out in my build thread if you're interested. I put blue LEDs in mine, look a million bucks compared to the normal bulbs, and it's easy to do. Plus, they theoretically should never blow again while you have the car, LEDs last for ages.

If not LEDs, you should be able to get some globes from an electronic shop like Jaycar. You'd just need the ones with the long legs so you can twist it around the holder and trim where necessary. This is what I did for my blown dash lights, and they basically use the same style setup, just bigger.

Question - I have an AUII Futura, and my switches don't have LEDs in them - do they just not have a bulb, or are the missing the whole set up as it is a lower model?

Pretty sure only models with power windows all round got the illuminated switches. Models with fronts only don't get them. Not sure if you can fit bulbs afterwards or not though sorry.
