Default Induction/Inlet manifold small hole

Hi, I am in the process of rebuilding my 1500GT motor for a Consul Capri and while cleaning the inlet manifold noticed a tiny hole on the underside that loks like it should have a small screw or air hose attached.

Does anyone know if this should be blocked off or if it should have a hose attached to it???

Any assistance would be appreciated,

thanks, Rick....

Most of these have probably broken off by now, on my 1500gt cortina it is a fine hollow steel pipe which is about 150mm long and aims at the crossmember. I havnt seen it working but I presume that its an over flow pipe to direct excess fuel out without dumping it all over the extracters, a problem peculiar to non cross flow engines.
