Default GT-P wheels?

Did anyone go to SMS today and see a GT-P?

Do they still have the same mags as the MKII ( the same as the GT has got now on the BF )?

Totally hopeless trying to find out anything, FPV still have nothing on their website, how hard is it?

Thanks.

EDIT ( Damn just read new design on GT-P, anyone got a decent pic? PLEASE!!!!!!!!)

They're the same as the optional Typhoon wheels but different colour.

No wonder you're called fab!

Thanks mate, a pic big enough I can actually see some detail.

Yeah they don't look to bad, I think they'll grow on me.

Man that looks awesome, I think you just cured my colour dilemma too!

BTW I agree about Murphy too and my boy thinks the same and he's a Holden boy!

Surely thats Mercury Silver? But could be Lightning or a new silver? I was told HgAg was being dumped by Jan '06. I'm hoping that info was wrong.

That looks very cool, like the new stripes! Not big changes externally but enough to tell the difference.

That’s the spirit.

If you think that looks good there is a better picture doing the rounds, also one with more detail of the wheel.

The rear park sensors in the GT-P look good. Big change from the earlier effort.

When you find out what colour that is let me know.

Looks great, i think the 3 strips look a little messy though, especially so when you see the car on the road in its natural environment.

The color doesn't look like Mercury Silver to me...???

I think the stripes look waaay better in person. I must say the purple/orange one I saw looked hot!

They used to look as though they were stuck on but now look recessed. I guess in a word smoother.

Will find a link to show

None of the ones that have been through the dealership have been thus far. Have had an out ring as still shown on the FPV site. If you look closely at the BF rear there is no longer that protruding ring as they have adopted the sensors from the Territory.

If you have a close look at the pic of my GTP you will notice that the Parking Sensors are recessed as it has been delivered from FPV in 2003.
I expect an apology lol

Perhaps I haven't explained well enough. The outer surround of the sensor didn't sit flush with the bumper like it does on the Territory. It had a raised outer edge. It now looks like the complete sensor is recessed with no raised edge. I could be my eyes playing tricks too but that what it looked like to us.

Edit

John yes yours certainly does but I can assure you they were not all like that. Actually that is the first have seen look that. The sensor can still be viewed on the FPV site and that picture clearly shows the raised outer edge. Not sure what to make of your car. They were factory fit?

I know what you mean for some reason all the Fairmonts etc had the outer edge on the Parking sensors but all the GTPs that i have seen that have the sensors were all recessed.
Cheers John

Yes I think I might have learnt something here. We had a batch of GT-Ps come with those sensors fitted and we assumed this was normal. Everyone commented on how bad they looked but we assumed they were right. Obviously they were the wrong sensors fitted at FPV for what ever reason. Thank you for clearing that up and I stand corrected. Nice car you have too.

Cheers Ian

I think they're both Bosch sensors, but the smaller design is probably more recent, although both should have been available when BA was launched. Not sure why Ford even went with the big ones for the BA - were they worried about not being able to drill a clean hole? :hihi:

Maybe the difference between factory and third-party fitment?
