Default TE cortina diff gears

I was wondering what other factory cars share the same diff as mine that I could pinch a 3.9 or at least a 3.7 ratio out of??

the 4cyl Manual TE's came with 3.7's
4 Cyl Auto is 3.5's
and all 6 cyl is 2.92.

with the 4cyl diffs just gotta undo the front flange nut and swap it for a 6cyl flange.
strength is the same. just the flange is different.

Yeah the car is a TE 4 cyl cogger, but some clown swapped the complete diff for a 6 cyl auto TF one. Can i put the skyline 3.9's in, or at least the TE 3.7's??

Thanks.

tf diff is usless, its the smaller type borgy and realy weak.you need a te diff and like what was said the 4 bangers had 3.5 and 3.7 its a simple bolt in swap after you change the flange.

Reviving an old thread, I know. But Ive got some 3.7's out of a cortina an want to fit them to my au falcon. Ive been told they wont bolt into some diffs as *some* may be too small or something.

Can anyone who has done this tell me which diff it will/wont fit?

cheers
