I have a bit of a problem with my overflow bottle.
It is currnetly hitting the turbo, so when it starts up and runs for a bit it will melt rather quickly, If not destroying the main hoses.. I got quoted $290+ Gst for a PWR expaonsions tank.. That is way more then i even expected. Are there any other products for the AU that we can use while still having the sensore? Does the BA bottle fit? Cheers, Matt.

Ba bottle fits, with one rad hose from the ba also.
It probally wont fix your problem though. |

modify your expansion tank and move it somewhere else. perhaps other side of the bay? or take it out completely?

Yeah nixons could probably make something that could work. Not sure of the $ though. Might be worth while asking

What about putting some kind of heat shield around the tank? Maybe cheaper and easier than replacing or moving it. I would think maybe manipulating an old exhaust manifold shield may do the job

I wish i could do that but its actually touching. I cant put it back it as the turbo is in the road.. so i have to find another option

i had the same problem and while trying to modify it, put a hole in it. so i smiled, sort of, and knew i would have to make another. mine's alloy and is still close to the turbo but won't melt, which the old one would definently done. the only thing is i don't have the sensor in mine. the plug is from pwr

Wrap a turbo blanket around turbo :P should last for a little while lol
JC is right, like usual.. just get a well known, proven and trusted brand, PWR.. I think AWC/Fibersport sell the ones with the sensor? Or get a custom one? |
