i am just about to acquire a eski panel van
sounds better tham buying !!!!!!!!! but was just wondering what sort of common problems should i look out for i have seen the car and it looks straight with no rust engine starts and idles nice has an EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW auto that changes seems to be fine but as the car is unregistered i could not drive it but not to worried if i have to spend a couple hundry to get it right thankyou daniel |

rust in the heater dome..
bushes all round are proberly fukked.. wheel bearings..

it is a 1.6 litre
bushes and wheel bearings dont worry me i didnt se rust in the heater box looking around firewall |

you wont see it, it will be inside the actual dome thats if there is any rust..

Tip a jug of water down the front of the windscreen. If water appears on the carpet covering the footwells, then you have rust in the bulkhead/dome....

They rust out in the phlenum chambers.To properly fix it you need to cut the bulk head of to cut the rust out and panel patch in another or a easier fix is to pull the heater and under dash bolt ons and clean and fiberglass it then paint it with a sealer. Leaves and muck gather around the air vent opening and over a period of years it gets rust holes in it. The only cars I've seen without the problem were cars that had been garaged most of of the time.
