Thats because they ARE an Opel. A rebadged opel. A VE V6 really has no significant Chev componentry in it (Like the V8 Engine), nor is it a rebadged Chev, so no reason to have the Bow tie on it.

I see what you're saying, but a rebaged SV6, isn't a Chev and nor is any other Commodore.

If the Commodore, was sold in the states, as a Chev, then I would see no dramas, but why badge it, as something, it's not? ;)

don't laugh on of the skegs who is often seen in my area has a typically standard looking vl proudly wearing a nismo sticker on the front screen...... i wish i was joking!

Why does it have to be sold in the states? Its sold in a hell of a lot of other countries as a Chev, why can't that do?

To me it's still not a Chev and never will be.

Lol. Im taking an even harder stance.

Chevrolet dont make engines. Chevrolet make cars.

GM makes the LS series of engines. Not chevrolet. It's a complete furphy putting a chev badge on a commodore, regardless of LS series engine....

I agree. Holden are supposed to be Australian through and through, started in Australia and still made in Australia (some cars anyhow) so why go and badge it with an american badge? Its supposed to be proudly Australian made and owned, except for the Chev badge......

Or, if the commodore was just a rebadged chev then go for it. But it aint. Its a Holden commodore.

I've even seen a Rodeo whilst in Newcastle with a big chev badge on the back.

You can't argue with stupidity.

I agree with most others.

It’s a Holden, not a Chev, I didn’t know chevy made Commodores

The best one is when you see them with the Chev badge, then it’s got the HSV sticker in the back window WTF it’s ether a HSV or a chev it’s can’t be both.
