Hi,
My daughter has just recharged her battery on her 2007 Ford Focus. When she removed the battery charger and started the car, her temp, fuel and speedo gauge went to the max. I've just reset the gauges using the reset/test procedure which appears to have fixed the fuel/temp gauges however the speedo only came back to 30kph. Any further tips on how to completely zero speedo? Many thanks. |

Did you run the full diagnostic set or just the reset? If you didn't run the full one try doing so - instructions are in the Tech portal
Cheers Russ

Hi Russ,
Thanks for the response. I did do the gauge sweep through the self-diagnosis mode. Is that what you mean? Cheers, keith |

Hi Keith
Yes it is - did the self diagnosis report an error or run fine? Cheers Russ

Didn't see an error code although I gave to admit I wasn't looking. Spoke to my daughter mast night. She says the speedo has come down to be only 5kph over. It seems like there is some sort of electrical discharging occurring after the battery recharge over the weekend. Next time I see her I'll re-run diagnostics.
Cheers, Keith. Last edited by Rapster62; 22-05-2018 at 08:57 AM. |
