Default AU V8 IAT Sensor

Hey all chasing a possible fault with the air intake circuit(iat in air intake hose) and wondering if anyone can help me out. Seeing a higher temperature which seems to possibly be affecting cold starts. Around 32+ deg when its around 20 or less outside. Around 42 unplugged.

Big help would be what voltage or temp you see on the reference 5v wire with the sensor unplugged. Black with a yellow stripe on my AU2 XR8

I am only seeing around 4.1-4.2v at the IAT and ecu I also checked the Coolant sensor and same 4.2v. I did also check the TPS and it had 5v.

When I was checking the loom and diagrams I could see that the IAT and coolant do share an earth with the o2 sensors.

The earth seemed fine and I also tested the resistance of the wiring to the ecu for the ref voltage and seemed fine.

Sensor seemed in spec from memory was around 32k ohms at around 15-20 deg c.

Also have tried another sensor, same issue so wondering if my reference voltage is on the low side from the ECU or if that's a default output when it doesn't see a sensor plugged in.

Cheers
