Default 302 W Transmission / diff center

Morning all, I'm currently in the progress of doing a TE Cortina V8 conversion. I've picked up a cheap 302 W engine as all I really want is the Block. Ppl I've spoken to have recommended using a C4 transmission. Just wondering what everyone else has used??
For the engine rebuild we'll be aiming for the high 300's in Hp. The diff center has been welded by the previous owner also, can you recommend a suitable lsd center that will fit in the original housing. Cheers..
