Default Re: 10K for a drag car

What $$$ is a Supra these days ???
My mate who runs low 10's in his EB has std rotating assembly
mild cam with decent valve springs, PWR w2a intercooler, C4 manualized..
Big plain bearing 700 h.p turbo.
Reinforced std diff with spool 3.45 gears..
160Lb injectors, 2 Bosch motorsport fuel pumps fed from custom in engine bay fuel tank..Runs E85..
Home built approved cage..
In a stripped out E series Falcon.. There's plenty of engines around to which you can add forged rods and pistons etc while still enjoying the budget ride..

A BTR in good nick with high line pressure, 2800 converter, 3.7 / 3.9 final drive is another option...
Personally I would fit a Powerglide...
They are so popular, do the job well...
