Default What's the best tyre/suspention combo on a MK3 Cortina?

G'day guys,

I was hoping i could get some input from some MK3 Corty owners who have tried different size tyres with different size springs.

I have 75 TD Cortina with Saab 15" interceptors.

At the moment i have 195's on all four wheels. The back are 65 profile, and the fronts are 50 profile.

I was wanting to get a bigger profile on the front tyres to give it a softer ride, and a slight lift (ilegal at the moment).

I only have just under 1" clearance from the guard on the front as it is, so i believe i will have to change my front springs to maintain that clearance ( i like that clearance as it looks good and doesn't rub).

Is there a combination like King spring low's, or super lows, and 60 profile?

I would also like to keep the front at 195, but would like to go as fat as possible at the back.

How fat can you go at the back..215 or 225??

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i have no idea :

Thanks, Mars...
