Default New Repo Coupe Parts

Has anyone purchased and tried fitting any of the recently released repo coupe parts ie the wheel arch trims, front stone tray and rear exhaust panel?

If so, how did they rate?

I haven't seen/tried any, but - Memphis2k said he was very very pleased with the quality and fit of the exhaust panel he got for his coupe.

He could probably give you more info.

The car is not ready for them to be fitted yet, also as i never had any genuine ones i can't offer an opinion as to how they compare...

I have held them up to the rear w/arches and they look ok for me, so yes i am happy with them, but please dont ask me if they would be good enough for a concourse resto as i have no idea, the guys wanting that sort of assurance will need to go and compare them themselves...

Thanks. Please update us once they have been fitted.

In relation to the post by Coupe72, although these items are expensive, they are cheaper than secondhand.

Also I would imagine the investment required for setting up tooling overseas to produce these items would be substanial. There would also be substanial costs incurred in importing the finished product back to Australia (shipping, customs duties etc).

Ultimately, the market forces of supply and demand will determine:

a. the price of repo products going forward; and
b. whether they continue to be produced at all.

Anyone who thinks they can produce and sell items such as these for less than Harrisons should do so!

I've bought the GT rear stone tray and the quality was A1, I would happily pay the asking price for parts for my car that are of this quality, cheaper than NOS and just as good.

**waiting paitently for the XA-XC sill panels to arrive***

I spose the majority of my car was finished ten plus years ago so the parts that i had to find were found when they were still available in alot of wreckers and we didnt have the range of repo parts we have now, plus the recent popularity of ausie muscle cars has exploded in the last few years. But now that im about to start my next project ive been a little shocked by the increases.I recently managed to get my hands on a GT steering wheel for my coupe and went to Dash Original here in Adelaide to get an estimate on restoration which blew me away, $1600 and a two year wait and the majority of the work is in the rim. I might have to have a go at it myself and see how it goes. their prices on trim seemed a little better though but they only have patterns for XAGT and not any of the other ranges. But they do awesome work, on doubt about it.

We spoke about Harrisons at our club meeting last night, one of the guys was up there and checked things out first hand. He reckons the quality is there and the guy doing it has gone to plenty of trouble to model things of NOS or very good condition used parts.

I'd expect this stuff to be a bit pricey but that's the fact of life. It'll sort out the e-bay bandits that's for sure!!

This is good news.

Agreed. Appears to have gone to alot of trouble in making the product. He needs to spend a bit of time and a few thousand dollars (say $3000) on a proper website.

The website is coming he told me....hopefully not too far away!! I have dropped off some Landau front side guard indicator lenses and also the indicator lenses that were in the front bumpers on Landau (and P5 LTD). He is hoping to have these made and be available in the first couple of months of the new year. The rubber fillers for the front bumper/guards is not going to happen unless we get atleast 40-50 people putting their name down for some...

I hope so. It is in all of our interests as coupe owners that this operation is successful and profitable.

"Improved Door Shells"

Improved how??? I'm really really glad that they're remaking these items - but a lot of the info is sooo vague, it's quite infuriating.

Although it's not their fault completely - I'm a bit obsessive/compulsive and need details and things to be exact and correct. :
