Default wet roads + tree + EB = not nice

just got back from picking up my mrs from work.
its ****ing down here, had thunder/lightning all night.
on the way to picking her up, i was taking a corner, touched the gas, lost all traction, slid sideways, over corrected, mounted the kerb and hit a tree.
and for a change i WASNT trying to drift.... i was saving it for further down the road......

yay.

1 smashed bonnet
1 twisted guard
1 absolutely rooted bumper
1 smashed headlight and clear indicator
1 severely ****ed off me

i hit the drivers side, theres no structural damage that i can see, but its 3.30am and crap weather so it can wait till the morning.
fortunately i have a mint guard from the EA we wrecked, and the skirt on the bumper is unscathed. i think i should get away with just having to replace the lights/bumper/bonnet, and fitting the new guard......

i'm ****ed off, i was finally happy with the car, did everything i wanted to do to it, then this crap happens.......

ahhhh well, s hit happens

Sorry to hear of the damage mate. As long as there's nothing structural it won't cost much at all to get it as good as before.

pulled the bumper off and what was left of the headlight etc, the inner guard is fine, but where the bumper's bracket mounts to the chassis is a bit bent. (the chassis, not the bumper). i'll be able to straighten most of it, though i might have to cut a section of the EA wreck and weld that in place.

good thing i just bought myself a mig welder.......

i should have it all fixed up in the next few weeks. going to a few wreckers tomorrow to find a good bonnet and a headlight. also going to check out a fibreglass EB GT front bumper, the aftermarket one that is designed to not have the flares. it has some damage but is hopefully easily repairable... should match up to the rest of the kit quite nicely.

yeah wayne, the EA guard doesnt have the repeater hole, but thats easily fixed hehe.....
