Default Re: Passenger side footwells flooded

So an update on leaking into the mondeo.
In my car I had found the leak. The sunroof. There are drain pipes running off each corner of the sunroof down the a pillar and into the front wheel arch .
I took all the trim off a pillar . Removed everything for access to the passenger side roof lining.
First step was to check the drainpipes weren’t blocked.
Whisper sniper cord about 3 metres , fill the channel in the sunroof with a bit of water so it pools like it would during a wash or rain, insert the cord down the tube jiggle it down as far as you can ., you will see the water starting to swirl and drain away . It’s very slow though so give it time . Pull the cord out the hole if it’s all clear water will drop from just behind the front wheels. If this is happening all clear with the drain holes .
Now this is where I found my leak. I hadn’t removed the headlining just released everything so I could pull the headline down and see inside to the sunroof and all the tubes from the inside .
While I was doing this I felt water dripping onto the front seat I. I pulled the roof lining away from the top of the passenger seat and a steady run of water came ****ing into the passenger side Orr the roof lining.
I let it all run roped up the water again in the sunroof channel and looked from the inside up to the sunroof under the lining.
It wasn’t the drain hole or drain tube leaking , but just next to it in 2 places water was getting in through 2 gaps in the sunroof plastic itself.
I only noticed it because I had the a pillar trim removed . With this in and the leak happening , the water would run straight down the a pillar . Down the dash and straight into the footwell, leaving no trace of a visible leak as was my case .
I have since had to rip all carpet and Enderley out of the passenger side.
I fixed the leak by going to Bunnings and Getty black marine sikaflex. $20.00.
Applied around the drain hole on the sunroof , problem fixed.
