I have had a combination of factors that made mine (at 306K now) hard to start.

Manifold gasket leaks. An intermittent crank sensor, damaged crank sensor wiring. An aged fuel pump (worn carbon brushes). Aged coil pack and split boots on the original leads.

I should have replaced the oil pressure switch when it was easier (inlet manifold off the head) but didn’t.
