And yes Superyob, people can 100% be depressed without knowing it! Often they just don't understand the signs. Signs of depression in male Australians often get fobbed of as 'weak feelings'.......therefore they hide/ignore them from themselves and others!
I myself ignored it, hid it and didn't/don't deal with it largely due to macho pride! Many diagnosed can look back many years and see the signs they missed or hid, even if without realising it!
