The Cortinas and you can include the Eskies being pommy were troublesome vehicles.
In saying that certain models did get up and for the times.
You could say they were "little" car prior to the Jap growth really taking over.
The ol Mk1/2 GT went well, mate had one.
The last Cortinas were are real step up from their early gens, the 6's had get up and go.
TC/TD Ghias were very nice looking bit of kit.
I recall seeing a few on the race tracks with stonking V8's in them.
Overall they were like all pommy cars we got accustomed to way back then, Leyland/Austins etc, some good models but so many ownership problems/repairs.
