Another thing i received today was a 27 tooth pinion gear.so i was running a 26 tooth pinion and 46 tooth spur. Goal being 100kmh+ but with that gearing it fell short at 99kmh on the gps. So the 26 only just fits in the housing, and the 28 i have is physically too large. But the 27 was an $11 gamble i was willing to take. It fits but only by a hair. So as the rain held off for a bit, i couldnt help myself so put on the street tyres.
On a quick rip on my damp concrete driveway, goal achieved, at 39500rpm it did 101kmh. I have seen it rev to 42500rpm on shorter gears, but i dont reckon it will with the added load created by longer gears.
