Hi mate, the sl rating is because of the higher phosphorus levels for better hths
protection. The worry is that the higher phosphorus levels of this oil can void new car warranty because this oil may damage cat converters.
Sm & Sn have reduced phosphorus levels to comply to oem specs & are cat converter friendly afaik. If you don't have any warranty issues, I think you will be safe to use it, good luck!!
