The other passion has far fewer moving parts and is so much easier to store, and cheaper to maintain... classic surfboards. One wave at Winkipop at speed on a mid 1970s 'rainbow' Hot Buttered by Terry Fitzgerald - omg. The airbrushes on them are works of art.
The things have straight line speed modern boards can't match, at least for the mug punter who isn't a pro. And yes they are getting valuable so you gotta try not to break the 45 year old foam and glass...
